The purpose of the self-reflection is to how I succeeded in achieving the learning objectives of this course. I intend to show which objectives I achieved, and does I didn’t.

During the class, I had to develop a writing strategy to accomplish my assignments efficiently. My first part of the process is research. Before I started each essay, I worked to understand the background materials fully. For example, for my Technical Description, I had to read many sources and textbooks in order to fully understand the F-135 engine. One of the sources is a NASA article on the Research in Supersonic Flight by John D. Anderson Jr. The first thing in did we skim through the article, their were many terms like Bell X-1, compressibility and shock waves. I made a list of these terms on paper, and then I used Google to basically get the general idea of what they meant, afterword I began reading the article. I made a summary of the beginning, middle, and end. And stored it with the rest of my notes.

In the beginning of the course, I didn’t really pay attention to the model essays. I basically tried to do my own thing. But over the course of the class, I learned to apricate the value of the model essays, especially  for my rhetorical analysis and Collaborative project. These projects allowed my understand the purpose of the assignment, this was particularly useful because of the Covid-19 problem. Because the coronavirus prevented us from attending school this semester, I felt that the examples were of great importance to me.

After reading the model essays, I start with the first draft. Writing my first draft, would usually involve serval hours of research and consultation with my notes, then I would write my draft in accordance with the writing guidelines for the particularly assignment. For example, during the rhetorical analysis, I wrote serval drafts in order to better understand the nature of the assignment. This was very important for to do, and I feel like this class only reinforced this belief in me. I also read all the discussion board posts and consulted with my classmates for help with my assignments.

Then I begin to write my final essay. For my final essay I take great care to make sure that everything is written in a grammatically correct form. I take great care to fulfill the tasks that the assignment requirements. Doing this is not easy all the time, and I will admit there are times that I have not fulfilled all the necessary requirements for my assignments.

I would like to know discuss the Collaborative Project. For this project, I felt that it that I worked out pretty well. First, we started out with group discussions then, in our group discussions we fleshed out our narrative and what we would talk about. Then our team leader assigned different sections for us to work on, I performed more task by doing research and then performed my part for my group.
